Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing

A 27-year-old man from Enfield has been formally accused of murdering Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old film student who died after being stabbed in Primrose Hill. The incident occurred near a popular viewing spot in north London on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police. Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu was arrested on Friday and charged with murder on Sunday. He is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Officers also found another man in his 20s with stab wounds on Regent’s Park Road, the same day. The second individual was hospitalized but received a prognosis of minor injuries. A 25-year-old man previously detained on suspicion of aiding the suspect has since been released without further charges. The police emphasized that their inquiry remains active.

“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” said Chris Sullivan, 65, Finbar’s father. The bereaved father described his son as a beloved figure, cherished by peers and family alike.

Finbar Sullivan was a student at the London Screen Academy, a program focused on film and media training. His passing has left his loved ones grieving, with the community expressing shock over the sudden loss.
